About Me
I hold a joint Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as an M.Ed. in Educational Technology (University of Texas at Brownsville) and a B.A. in History (University of Texas at Austin). I also spent two years as a post-doctoral researcher at Florida State University's Learning Systems Institute.
I evaluate educational programs and learning systems by applying statistical and computational techniques to large data sets, an approach commonly referred to as 'Big Data' (I prefer the term 'informatics'). Along with colleagues in Colorado and Florida, I have developed new methods for mapping technology use behaviors onto 'real world' practices and processes.
